As in numerous bacteria, a living organism can be a simple cell with complex individual behavior distinguishable from its environment. 
Otherwise (as in plants, some fungi or animals), the cells multiply, remaining connected and differentiating, forming complex groups that compose a new multicellular state or individual. Each of this cells will have its own behavior defined by its immediate environment and how its DNA responds variably to those conditions. The behavior of each cell and its communication with each neighboring cell generates a resulting effect that awakens a new individual.
The infinite (very infinite) possibilities in which these cells can interact and behave causes each individual to be unique.

Therefore, I toast to a new being born in my environment: LAU, my nephew. And we can toast to all those individuals who luckily surround us and show the beauty of the diversity of life. #LABTIME.

Images were taken with a camera attached to a microscope. Then they were edited in a Photoshop software to create a Gif. Images represent a colored cross-section of a tilia stem, so we can easily see the cells.
In particular the cell wall can be distinguished in magenta tones and many other amazing things can be identified, such as an increasing concentration of wood reaching the outside. It's also amazing to think many of these cells form part of conduits that carry water and nutrients to all the organs of the plant.

Music composed with a piano and then rearranged in Ableton software with many other plugins and sounds of pads, drums and bass.
